We got up before sunrise, broke camp, but weren’t quite quick enough before somebody from the property drove by. They just smiled and waved and continued on. Cool! We continued along Hwy 89 toward the town of Page, and once there, got some hot drinks and pastry for breakfast at the local mini-mart. We went out to the Antelope Canyon site (on Indian land) and found they didn’t open until 9am, so we went back to Page in search of free wi-fi, and found it at the local library. They weren’t open, yet, but they still answered the door, and gave us access accounts and codes so we could sit outside in the comfort of our car and do our stuff. When 9am came around, we went back to the site, and found the first tour was about to commence. We signed up, paid our fee ($26 each) and caught the last end of the first group to enter. If there was a guided tour, we never saw hide nor hair of it, and were free to walk through the amazing twists, turns, and drops of that sandstone lair. We, like every other person who entered this place, took pictures all over the place; it was about a mile long, but it didn’t seem like it. I took a lot more 3D pictures – I hope they turn out. We finished the “tour,” hopped back in the car, and drove over the Lake Powell Dam. By now, C&E were having a problem: Cati wanted to explore more of the local parks (Bryce, Moab, etc.) and escape the cold for as long as possible, while Eusebio wanted to go north, because they only had two more months on their visa, and had to make it to Canada quick. They *might* be able to extend their visa, but weren’t sure. There was even talk of splitting up for a while, but this wasn’t really an option, either, so they both mulled it over as we drove along back to Kanab. By the time we reached town, it was mid-afternoon. The car looked pretty good, and we topped off the tank, so when we returned it to the rental shop, no extra fees were levied, and the overall price was $99. Including our expenses, which covered gas, fees, and meals, my part of the excursion was $83 – not a bad deal! We retrieved our cycles from the rental shop’s garage, and we then went into town and found the Crazy Horse campsite, with hot showers and free wi-fi. Eusebio wouldn’t let me pay my part for the camping ($16), darn him! ;-) We all took our showers, set up our gear, and since this was going to be our last evening together, I treated C&E to a nice Chinese dinner. After, we went back to camp and I stayed up until almost 3am working on catching this blog up. Interestingly, the wi-fi was best in the bathroom building, which was also heated. So that’s where I worked. No one came in the whole time. Whoo-hoo!

(To view the 3D pictures, above, you have to cross your eyes to bring the two images together into a third, central image, and then refocus your eyes. Not everyone can do this, but with practice, you can see these pictures in glorious 3D - how nice!)
